In line with its role to promote the development of franchising and foster best practice in franchise association management, the members of the World Franchise Council consider regulatory and economic factors which influence the prosperity of franchise communities around the world.
WFC meetings often determine policies to promote franchising in accordance with issues of universal significance raised by one or more member nations.
These policies are articulated in joint declarations of WFC members issued at the conclusion of meetings in which they have been discussed and agreed.
These policies should be noted by the governments of both member and non-member nations when formulating regulations which have direct or indirect implications for the franchise sector.
Other stakeholders with an interest in franchising are invited to strongly consider the WFC’s declarations when shaping any policy, economic or otherwise, that may impact the franchise sector of member nations.
